Our 1st Charity Bike run from the Viaduct Bar to Ardfield and on to Union Hall for a BBQ, was a great sucess. A big thanks to all the bikers who turned out on the day your support and generousity never cerases to amaze and humble us. Thanks to Ardfield Summer Festival and the Michael Tobin memorial run for their support and friendship. We are delighted to announce we have signed a Service Level Agreement with the Mercy University Hospital in Cork .They are the first Hospital in Cork to use our Free out of hour service.

Lovely pic in the Evening Echo of our wonderful volunteers!  It was an honour to escort the kids to Fota House on Thursday and Friday for the Cork Hospitals Children's Club Xmas Party 2014.

A great day was had by all - young and old - and great to see the smiles on the children's faces!

Blood Bike South would like to thank Mr Declan O'Donovan of Two Wheel Training for agreeing to become the official training agent for Blood Bike South!! We are delighted that he has been tirelessly working with over 40 riders over the last months - training & advising them in preparation for advanced riding qualifications which all of our volunteer riders are expected to obtain & maintain.

We have recently been busy fundraising both in the city and out & about in local shopping centres!  We would like to thank all of our hardworking volunteers for giving theri time to do this as well as bike training & aiming for their ROSPA's!!! We would also like to thank all members of the public who have been so supportive! We are overwhlemed by the response & support we are getting! We will be on the road very soon!!! :)

On Friday 23/05/14 we had our Official Launch in Curraheen Stadium.  We had a great night and we would like to Thank everyone who has supported us both on the night & in the past months since we started our journey.

We were delighted to meet with family & friends of the late Paul Kingston, who had generoulsy fundraised tirelessly over the last few months, to donate the first Blood Bike to Blood Bike South.   We are proud & honoured to accept this woderful donation and can promise that Paul's name will always be remembered by everyone involved with Blood Bike South.

We had a raffle on the night for a weekend away which was kindly sponsored by The Maritime Hotel, Bantry & we were delighted that the prize went to someone who has been so supportive of Blood Bike South.

We were lucky enough to receive a fabulous cake from Deborah O Connell at www.cakedelights.ie and we gladly cut into it...not a bite was left!! :)

We are delighted to announce that we will be holding our Official Launch Night on Friday 23rd May 2014.  We will be celebrating in style with a night at the dogs and we hope to see all of supporters & followers on the night. We are delighted to announce that all ticket holders will be entered into a draw for 2 nigts B&B for two people with dinner included on 1 night which The Maritime Hotel Bantry has generously sponsored!!

Blood Bike South would like to thank West Cork Motorcycle Club for inviting us attend their Drag Race on 14/04/14. We had a great day in the fabulous sunshine. We met some lovely people, many of whom made donations or offered to volunteer. Thanks again to the Club for supporting our efforts!!

Between them they've won the Snooker World Championship 13 times, snooker legends Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry lend their support to Blood Bike South.Many thanks to all involved in last week's Legends of Snooker Exhibition Game at the Rochestown Park Hotel. Funds raised on the night will greatly help Blood Bike South as we take to the road in 2014.You look right at home Steve!

The Cork Lions Club has been a great supporter of Blood Bike South since day one and we'd like to thank them most graciously for the wonderful donation we were presented last night.Much of the money was raised through the Patrick's Hill Ball Run so well done to all involved!!

Well Done to our Volunteer Riders who came along for the first of their lessons to get them on their way to hopefully achieving Rospa certification.  The basics proved not to be so basic for some, but by the end of the day everyone had leaped ahead and great progress was being made! As well as watching an instructional DVD whilst having a cuppa...they also got to check out our latest delivery of our new office/garage!! Pics to follow when we have it ship shape! We would like to say a big thanks to all the volunteers who braved the terrible weather & stormy conditions to meet with us at our volunteer info meeting.  We discussed the status of Blood Bike South, plans for training and got feedback &  many great ideas for fundraising and sponsorship.  Your enthusiasm was fantastic and we are looking forward to working with you all in 2014!!

Fantastic turnout today for our initial assessment day! We had fabulous weather after our 'cool' start. We would like to say a massive Thank You to all the riders for their attendance. We were delighted with everyone's enthusiasm today! We will post some pics in the coming days of the lads hard at work! For anyone that we couldn't meet today, we will be in contact asap with dates and times for your assessment!
