Volunteer Riders/Drivers
Given the service we provide and the visible nature of the work it will come as no surprise that there are a number of requirements that we ask perspective volunteers to adhere to, before going on the roster as a Blood Bike Rider/Driver. Please take some time to review these and then complete the application form if you wish to proceed.
All prospective riders must;

Be at least 25 years of age and hold a Full Class “A” or Car License for at least 2 yrs.

Be willing to use opportunities to advance your riding/ driving skills.

Full clean license. License with points subject to clearance by our insurers.

Must live within the zone round Cork City as show in image over and able to reach any city hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a call.

Please note that a €50 membership fee will be required to cover administration and onboarding
Volunteer as a Controller...
APPLICATIONS FOR CONTROLLERS IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED
Controllers are vital members of our team. As a Controller you will be the first point of contact with hospitals & clinics when they ring looking to use our service. You will be the person responsible for contacting the Blood Biker who is on duty and passing on the details of the pick up & drop and maintaining records of all runs.
Volunteer as a Fundraiser...
We are constantly fundraising and arranging events to raise money as our costs are ongoing. Events throughout the year include everything from Bike Runs, Ball Runs, Shopping Centre Stands, Bucket Collections, Bag Packing, Sponsorship for each biker etc . We always need help and we will welcome ideas as well as helping hands. If you have an fundraising idea - that you have seen before or have thought of yourself - or if you would like to assist in organising & running an event, just contact us!!!
